Cyclists on a road to nowhere

The East Grampians Health Service Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay teams will be on a road to nowhere when riders trade their road bikes for a stationary bike in a team ride-a-thon.

The Cranks and Defibrillators will be pedaling nowhere fast, but all for a good cause, with the ride-a-thon raising funds for a new bus for the Patricia Hinchey Centre.

It is just one of a number of fundraisers the teams have planned in the lead up to the Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay on April 1 and 2.

The ride-a-thon will take place outside Café Pyrenees at EGHS on Friday February 3 from 9am to 4pm.

Riders will attempt to keep the wheels turning on the stationary bike for seven hours. Staff and members of the public who visit Café Pyrenees are invited to sponsor a rider or make a donation. Raffle tickets will also be on sale throughout the day.
